Heres a lad who seems to be the real thing. He uses his boat a lot and for real family reasons.
Then again if you own your own island your gonna to need a runnabout...yes? And John has quite a nice one, the 2001 Turkish built Vajoliroja, an aluminium 156 foot yacht. Quite a lovely look to her, crusing at a stately 12 knots, powered by her twin CATS.

There have been only a handful of sailors that have become my Gurus. David Lewis, Alec Rose, Chichester, Gerry Spiess and most of all...Tristan Jones. Now Tris' holds a very exceptional place in my heart and lore and singlehanding knowledge. I know all about Tristan. The tale, and the real, and it makes him not one whit less important to me. His seamanship is without match (and without funds) and his prose is stunning.

These two kids seem to really have a fondness for boating. I wonder if they are planning on the big commitment (you know...buying their own boat)?
Shes a monster swinger (tennis) hes a monster singer.
They have been very private about their relationship for a long time, but now Anna Kournikova and Enrique Iglesias seem to finally be going public with their relationship.

Well thats very strange, David Crosby is selling the boat "Mayan" that he wrote "Wooden Ships" on and has owned for over 40 years. Ouch! The Mayan is a 59-ft. classic Alden designed schooner and the reported asking price is one million dollars.
The Mayan went through a complete $600,000 refit in 2005 and is berthed in Santa Barbabra. It was on the cover of the 1977 Crosby, Stills & Nash album "CSN".

My favorite personal celebrity sailor story is about John Wayne's minesweeper "The Wild Goose". Though I never got to meet him I was a huge fan. My band got to play on the afterdeck of the Wild Goose for an event of some sort (I can't remember what it was now) and it was quite an experience.
